Founded in 1985, STR has an international client base for export of trucks and quality used truck components across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. We also operate a highly successful export trade of recyclable scrap metal and non-ferrous metals.
Having been known as Neil Barry Commercials since the late 1980's, the company's continuous growth warranted further expansion and development so in 2007 Southern Truck Recycling Co. was formed. Still owned and managed by Neil Barry and still in the same location but now with larger premises, Southern Truck Recycling Co. Ltd. (STR), has grown progressively into what it now is, an internationally known recycler and exporter of quality scrap metal, a supplier of quality second-hand components for all types of commercial vehicles and an exporter of quality second-hand trucks.
STR Truck Spares is a member of the Irish Motor Vehicle Recycling Association, IMVRA.
STR Truck Spares is a fully-licensed end-of-life facility for all types of vehicles, fully compliant with EU Regulations.
We are very centrally located on the N73 Mitchelstown to Mallow Road in North County Cork, within easy driving distance of several major towns and cities, such as Cork, Waterford, Tipperary and Limerick, and at that we are only a 2-hour drive from Dublin.
